HelpDesk & Network Support – Toronto

A medium-sized organization in Toronto with satellite offices is looking for an individual to join the group for the role of HelpDesk & Network Support. This position reports to the Information Technology Manager.

Qualified Candidates should possess: 

·         A degree or diploma in Computer Networks or Information Technology

·         3 years of working experience in the field of computer networks & Microsoft operating systems

·         Strong interpersonal talent and ability to interact and communicate excellently and deal with people on all levels.

.         Excellent interpersonal skills & speaks perfect fluent English

·        Ability to communicate & troubleshoot effectively in order to resolve issues in a timely fashion

·        Ability to multi-task efficiently & prioritize tasks & pay attention to details

·        Experience with installing & troubleshooting Windows Vista & Windows 7 operating systems

·        A firm understanding of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, PPTP VPN, RDP

.        Experience configuring Sonicwall routers is an asset

.        Experience using Navision is an asset

.        Experience with navigating Small Business Server 2008 & 2011 & functions of the SBS Console

.        Experience with navigating functions in Exchange 2007 & 2010 Email Server

.        Experience with creating documentation & procedures for various instruction sets & processes

·        Ability and desire to learn new and unfamiliar technologies and applications

Responsibilities will include:

·        Providing first line technical support to end users for all computer hardware or software related issues via phone or remote access or travel on-site to remote locations via car

.         Manage, respond, prioritize & resolve technical issues via ticketing system

·        Assisting with new network implementations at remote locations

·       Creating Active Directory accounts & joining PCs to domain in SBS2008 & 2011 environments

·        Assisting in the monitoring & maintenance of existing servers & network infrastructure

·        Setup, installation, troubleshooting and resolution of computer & software related issues

·        Maintaining & organizing inventory of all hardware and software

.       Compilation of documentation for new network implementations and or procedures

.           Lifting heavy boxes, computers or servers
